Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry’s Beautiful Wedding Cake Revealed


Prince Harry and his lovely wife, Meghan Markle, contacted Claire Ptak of London-based bakery Violet Cakes to bake a cake that “incorporates the bright flavors of spring,” and she gave them what they asked for.

The beautiful confection consists of tiers of lemon sponge cake with elderflower syrup and topped with an Amalfi lemon curd.

Ptak and her team of six bakers spent five days baking and icing each tier of the cake in Buckingham Palace, each tier was transported individually from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle and then assembled on site on Saturday morning before the reception.

The flowers were added at the last moment to remain fresh.
