Eveafrique magazine has the growth of Niger Delta at heart, and the growth of a nation, depends on the youth.

Today we bring you the brain behind “UG-LEE” clothing designs.

CAN WE KNOW YOU?
I am Tonye Gabriel-Whyte. I am a student of Rivers state University of Science and Technology (RUST).

I hail from the Kalabari tribe in Rivers state.

WHAT DO YOU DO.

I design T-shirts and sell, I call my brand “UG-LEE”

WHAT INSPIRED YOU INTO THIS LINE OF BUSINESS.

My love for outfits .

WHEN WAS IT BIRTHED.

5th July 2018, we are new but we are making wave.

WHY THE CHOICE OF NAME.

It’s because of the daring and dramatic tone to it, when u see someone wearing a cloth with “UG-LEE” inscribed on it, you get intrigued to know who.

HOW DID YOU RAISE CAPITAL.

I got funds from family and friends.

WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES YOU FACE.

The ability and resources to reach other parts of the country.

IS THE TURN UP ENCOURAGING.

Yes. People are reacting with buzz all over our social media platforms.

WHAT MOTIVATES YOU.

The accreditation I get from people who see my work.

WHAT INSPIRES YOUR DESIGNS

Our target market is youth, and we know what youths love, we just give them what they want. Am a youth and I know the designs that will attract me to buy a shirt.

HOW DO YOU JUGGLE EDUCATION AND BUSINESS

I do delivery only during weekends, to enable me concentrate on my school works.

DO YOU WORK ALONE.

No I don’t, I have lots of volunteer workers who believe in my work.

WHAT ELSE DO YOU ENDEAVOR IN APART FROM CLOTHING DESIGNING.

Nothing presently, it’s just school and UG-LEE.

WHAT OTHER CONCEPT APART FROM SOCIAL MEDIA HYPE DO YOU USE TO PUBLICIZE YOUR BRAND.

We are working on a campus tour presently, but haven’t come up with the date to kick it off.
